Taj Mahal

India – A trip over 10 years in the planning

There is a picture of me somewhere, lying on the floor with a full-size map of India planning a trip. There are India guidebooks, notepads, and a smile on my face.

There is a lesson to be learned here I think. There is never a ‘Right Time’ to undertake a trip like this. Without sounding too dramatic, it is, I think, truly a life-changing experience.

To stand in awe of the Taj Mahal at dawn, with its minarets breaking through the mist as the sun sends the sky a peachy pink, is something we will never forget. – India 2024.
